Modification of Judgments
Most judgments, such as property division, cannot be modified after the divorce is final unless by agreement. However, for clients who have experienced a change in circumstances, our attorneys can help resolve issues relating to children, child support, and alimony payments.
Contempt actions may result from violations of court orders and judgments, such as failure to pay child support or alimony. Filing a contempt action is an effective way to enforce court orders, but it must be proved that the offender had the ability to comply and willingly chose not to do so.
