"The firm believed in me ... "
Forty years ago, the firm believed in me and gave a very green ‘secretary’ the opportunity to start a job fresh out of college. Surrounded by a caring group of people who trained and supported me this soon became the right fit. The workplace culture of the litigation department can be fast-paced and sometimes chaotic, but the teamwork within our department makes for a positive workplace experience.
I truly enjoy the multitasking that comes with my job and the day to day interactions with my co-workers. I think this combination is a testament to why I have made Fletcher Tilton my second home for the last 40 years.
"what keeps me here are the people..."
I enjoy the work and the pace, but what keeps me here are the people; we really are a family. No matter how stressful the day may be, we can still sit down at lunch or go out after work and enjoy each other’s company. When any event, whether happy or sad happens in our lives, our FT family is always right there to help us through it.
I have referred a few people to FT over the years and I always tell them about the nice people here as well as the events throughout the year like staff appreciation week, pizza parties, build your own sundaes, pie day, and so on. These types of events do not happen at every workplace and it is much appreciated.
"The positive atmosphere is immediately noticeable..."
As a new employee, my first impression was what a great group of people work at this firm. Their professionalism, knowledge and overall desire to help others; both clients and fellow employees is amazing. The positive atmosphere is immediately noticeable; people smile, people are helpful, people are genuine. The culture is consistent and strong and based on honesty, integrity, respect and hard work.
Leadership listens and responds, no matter what role you are in within the firm. I feel respected, appreciated and valued. Now that I have been here for a year, I am happy to report that my initial impression was ‘spot on’ and, to be honest, I am not the easiest to impress.
"offered me the opportunity to expand my knowledge..."
I was a nanny for five years before joining the firm. I confided in one of my friends, who worked for the firm and still does, that I wanted to find another role. She shared my resume with the human resources department, I interviewed, and was hired.
I started as an Administrative Assistant to the Corporate Paralegals, then moved to be an Accounting Assistant, and over the years I have gained the knowledge and experience to become a Manager. Fletcher Tilton offered me the opportunity to expand my knowledge in different areas and gain the confidence to increase my role and responsibilities within the Firm.
"very professional and reputable firm who treat their employees well..."
I have been working in the legal field since college starting in a large firm. In January of 2010, the Attorney I have been working with since January 1993, merged with FT. I was hesitant to go back into a large law firm, and start over from ground zero. I met with the hiring managers who were very professional, but also very personable. I felt very comfortable meeting with them and providing information about myself, my capabilities and what I was looking for from my employer.
I stay because truly, I love what I do and I really enjoy doing it here with the people at FT. The variety of work is interesting, it’s always in abundance, and they make you feel appreciated throughout the year. It is a very professional and reputable firm who treat their employees well.
I have always had an interest in Human Resources and Global Mobility so learning Immigration laws and policies has been a great fit. Working in the Immigration Department is extremely rewarding; you are helping people reach their goals and make their dreams come true. Teamwork and support is crucial to accomplish our work and I am fortunate to experience that at the Firm. Immigration laws and policies are constantly changing, I have learned to expect the unexpected and adapt quickly.
"they take care of their employees, through thick and thin..."Working for Fletcher Tilton has improved both my professional and personal life. Every day I work alongside people who are very skilled, motivated, and industrious. The team environment really helps me raise my level of work, which elevates the team. The firm really feels like a family, and they take care of their employees, through thick and thin, which allows for a close, positive culture. There is a true balance of work life and personal life, which is hard to find nowadays.
"everyone is very professional and treated well..."
I have been at the law firm for 3 years now and I feel like I have been here forever. When I started at the firm they made me feel very comfortable; I instantly felt like a part of the family. As the Receptionist, I enjoy meeting and greeting our clients and I do my best to make them feel welcome and comfortable.
This Law firm has a such a caring environment, with wonderful people inside and out. There is such a positive atmosphere in the office, everyone is very professional and treated well. As an employee I feel respected, appreciated, and valued. When you love what you do you never work a day in your life, and that is how I feel working at Fletcher Tilton.
