Each spring, over 600 people with Down syndrome, their family members, health care professionals and educators attend our Annual Conference on Down syndrome.
Though we are not able to gather in person for the second consecutive year, we join together virtually to hear the latest research findings and timely information from national and local experts on a range of topics related to Down syndrome.
MDSC is proud to announce that their theme for 2021 is Stronger Together and the conference will once again spotlight innovative research on the horizon as well as timely updates related to Covid-19!
Gathering virtually, they will delve deep into the promising developments in Down syndrome research and the exciting potential it has for the future. They will also cover important Covid-19 information and medical updates to help individuals with Down syndrome and their families during these challenging times.
The live, interactive and on-demand presentations will highlight innovative clinical trials and explore studies underway nationwide that have promise to make a difference in people’s lives. The workshops will cover the latest research on Covid-19, education, clinical care, behavior, and Alzheimer’s disease, to name a few. They will also offer other timely presentations pertinent to this season we are in such as pathways to employment and reentering the workplace; mental health; and supporting your student at home. Additionally, you will be able to join virtual workshops to personally connect with and learn from others with similar experiences.
